Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision, leads the development of work schedules for all types of plant maintenance and repair work orders for trades and subcontractors
  • Provides expertise through a functional knowledge of electrical, mechanical, civil and architectural disciplines to determine work scope
  • Responsible for the generation and accurate maintenance of a daily, weekly and monthly schedule
  • Conducts routine scheduling meetings as needed with Facility Operations Directorate staff to develop and maintain the current and future schedules, reviews the status of scheduled work orders, and discusses new, incoming work orders
  • Work directly with trades’ supervision to identify resources required to perform scheduled work, work tracking, scheduling and completion of work orders 
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the overall process for scheduling and performance through analysis of work order flow, reports, project demands and expectations
  • Conducts field investigation of the work site to determine project constraints
  • Will interact with Facility and Operations Directorate customers
  • Reports to the Manager of the Facility Operations Center

Position Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Requires ten (10) years broad experience in an applicable trade, knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or architectural      disciplines
  • Knowledge of scheduling craft (bargaining unit) and subcontractor work
  • Good communication skills, team player, and a self-starter
  • Specialized training in a Computerized Maintenance Management System Program, and scheduling methods
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office; specifically, Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in developing maintenance schedules
  • Expertise required in facility operations, customer service and Work Management Systems, as well as Project planning and Project Scheduling    

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • The equivalence of a technical institute or Associates degree in a related or technical field
  • Expertise in Work Management Systems (Maximo)
  • Experience working closely with Trades, Supervision, and Facility Managers
  • Knowledge of Scheduling Programs
