The High Energy Theory (HET) Group has active programs in all areas of Particle Physics, including Standard Model and beyond and lattice gauge techniques. We seek applicants with a strong record of research accomplishments in Particle Physics Phenomenology, broadly defined.
The HET Group will have an Assistant or Associate Physicist position available beginning on or about October 1, 2020. The selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate position level dependent upon depth and breadth of relevant knowledge and skills, as well as years of relevant experience. The candidate chosen would be hired for an initial term of two years with the possibility of an extension up to five years and an eventual promotion to a staff position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Propose, plan and perform advanced scientific investigations in pursuit of scientific and technological excellence in all aspects of Particle Physics.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ph.D. in Theoretical Elementary Particle Physics
- Knowledge of a wide variety of High Energy Theory research methodologies
- Experience with statistical analysis and quantitative and qualitative methods
- Excellent computational skills, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and carry out an independent research program
- Domestic/foreign travel is necessary to present/collaborate scientific research.
